Pros Science is not as neatly objective a study as some would have us believe. It is deeply affected by the subjective motivations of its practitioners. Men have their own interests and agenda. Women have a unique perspective undreamed of by men. A feminine, holistic view of the world will ask different questions than those posed by a masculine, linear viewpoint. One lens is not better than the other; the point is that both perspectives are necessary. Unfortunately, until of late, the women's point of view has too often been limited or missing altogether. |

Cons Science is science; it is not gender-biased. It is, in fact, an objective study of the world around us. To suggest that the results of an experiment will change because of the gender of the scientist conducting it is to misunderstand the scientific method. There is nothing wrong with women doing science. They simply will not change the science. |
