		Pros There are many famous people in the U.S., but very few heroes. Politicians, actors, and sports figures inevitably fall prey to the investigative media, which thrive on negative news. The fate of the famous in America is clear: you are fair game for the press. As a result, we are a society without heroes. We have no clear, positive vision of who we want to be.
		Cons What "wishy-washiness?" One of the great strengths of our country is that we are not tied to imitating the narrow identity of a national hero. We are a diverse, multicultural society with dreams as varied as the imagination allows. We truly are a democratic society where individuals are free to pursue happiness as they see fit.
